The Financial Aid Office  at UC San Diego offers a wide range of resources to help you learn about funding your education, as well as a list of scholarship sources. There are also three scholarships endowed specifically for Thurgood Marshall College students: the Rebecca Lytle Memorial Scholarship,the James Avery Scholarship, and the Thurgood Marshall College Scholarship.

The Rebecca Elizabeth Lytle Memorial Scholarship Fund for New First-Year Students

This scholarship fund was established in 1996 by family and friends to honor the memory of a truly remarkable citizen, friend, mother and wife.  The scholarship fund is to be used to support and encourage graduates of The UCSD Preuss School (an on-campus charter school, grades 6-12) enrolled in Thurgood Marshall College at the University of California, San Diego.

James Avery Scholarship

The James Avery Scholarship, established by TMC alumni and television star James Avery, is awarded to an entering African-American Thurgood Marshall College student pursuing studies in the performing arts. This is a four-year award up to $4,000 paid in the amount of up to $1,000 annually. More... 

Thurgood Marshall College Scholarship

The TMC Scholarship Fund was created in 1993 to support Thurgood Marshall College sophomores, juniors and seniors in pursuing their educational and vocational goals. One award is given annually and disbursed $600 per quarter. Those who have made significant contributions as citizens and scholars, exemplify the ideals of the college, and who through their life experiences on and off campus have enhanced their own personal development, are encouraged to apply.
