Applying for Readmission to UC San Diego
If you have not been enrolled in classes at UC San Diego for two full quarters, you must apply for readmission. The Readmission Application is available online. You must complete the application process at least one month before the quarter you wish to return to allow time for processing and timely course enrollment.
Follow the directions below based on your specific situation:
You must contact TMC Student Life to have the hold lifted to process your application for readmission. TMC Student Life can be reached at (858) 534-4390.
- If you were also dismissed for academic performance, you will need to follow the appeals process outlined in the next section.
- Be sure to pay all fees on time!
- File the Readmission Application
on TritonLink and pay the required fee.
- If you have attended another college or university since you attended UC San Diego, send all official transcripts to the UC San Diego Registrars Office (ATTN: Readmission Coordinator) for official posting to your Academic History on TritonLink .
- Complete the TMC Readmission Appeal
pdf and return it to the Academic Advising Office.
- Academic Advising will review your Readmission Appeal and transcripts.
- Once a decision has been made, you will be contacted by the Academic Advising office on the Virtual Advising Center

- The Registrar's Office will contact you when the process is complete with instructions as to how you can enroll in your classes.
- Be sure to pay all fees on time!
