College Academic Requirements
The Thurgood Marshall College General Education requirements have been established and designed by the faculty of the college to provide breadth in education by exposing students to the main branches of learning and their relevance to our contemporary society.
Our General Education requirements are liberal arts oriented to give students general knowledge and intellectual skills, rather than specific occupational or professional skills.
Through a liberal arts education, our students gain:
-
Broad based knowledge and interests.
-
Analytical and problem-solving.
-
An opportunity to enhance their oral and written communication skills.
-
Ability to understand “the big picture.”
-
Greater appreciation and understanding of different points of view.
