Monday, June 30 - Signed Housing Contract & $600 prepayment due
July - freshmen register for classes on-line
Sunday, August 3 - last day to make roommate requests
Tuesday, August 26 - room assignments are e-mailed to student UCSD account with an access code and web site to access room info

Thursday, September 18: early check in
- Early check in for Friday Orientees recommended: 1-5 p.m.
- Early check in for Thursday Orientees recommended: 5-6 p.m.
- During Thursday Orientiation students will be excused to check in
- If assigned to Revelle, you'll check in at this same time
- Early check results in an additional fee
Friday, September 19 - Orientation Session 5 (student and family)

- Early check in for registered/paid students 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday, September 20 - Campus Wide Residential Life Officially opens at 9:00 a.m. TMC Move in is a drive thru process from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. HOWEVER, all residents are assigned a specific move in time based upon what building they live in.
- You do not need to be here at 9:00 a.m. See your assigned time.
- It is better for you if you are in a car
- Checking in is a drive-thru process in
P 302 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. - Checking in after 5 p.m. will be done from the TMC Res. Life Office
- You do not need to check in on Sat., but ALL residents (sophomores, freshmen, etc.) do have to check in by Tuesday, Sept. 23 at noon or you forfeit your space
- All of the above information is true for freshmen and continuing students

Fall Quarter 2008
- Sat., September 20 - Residence Halls & Apartments open at 9:00 AM
- Saturday, September 20 - Contract meals begin at 9:00 a.m.
- Sunday, Sept. 21 - Saturday, Sept. 27 - Fall Welcome Week
- Tuesday, September 23 - All residents must check into their Residence Halls and Apartments by Noon or their space will be forfeited.
- Thursday, September 25 - Instruction begins.
- Thursday, October 16 - Emergency Preparedness Drill
- Saturday - Sunday, October 25-26 - Family Day Weekend
- Sunday, November 1 - Daylight Savings Time ends
- Monday, November 11 - Veteran's Day Holiday
- Friday, November 14 - Marshallpalooza
- Thursday, November 27 - Thanksgiving Holiday - Through Sunday, November 30. No contract meals will be served
- Monday, December 8 - Final Exams - Through Saturday, December 13
- Monday, December 15 - Residence Halls closed. Residents must vacate no later than noon, reopening Saturday, January 3, 2009 at noon.

Winter Quarter 2009
- Saturday, January 3 - Residential Housing facilities open at noon. Contract Dining Plan begins with dinner on Sunday, January 4, 2009.
- Monday, January 5 - Instruction begins. New residents must check into their Residence Halls and Apartments by 4:00 PM
- Saturday, January 13 - Martin Luther King, Jr. parade
- Tuesday, January 15 - Triton Jam
- Monday, January 19 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday
- Monday, February 16 - President's Day Holiday
- Friday, February 20- Spirit Night vs. Cal State Monterey Bay
- Sunday, March 8 - Daylight Savings Time begins
- Monday, March 16 - Final Exams - Through Saturday, March 21
- Sunday, March 22 - Residence Halls closed. Residents must vacate no later than noon, reopening Saturday, March 28, 2009 at noon.
Spring Quarter 2009
- Sat., March 28 - Res. Halls open at 12 noon. Meals being with dinner
- Monday, March 30 - Instruction begins
- Saturday, April 11 - Cultural Celebration
- Monday, May 25 - Memorial Day holiday
- Monday, June 8 - Final Exams - Through Friday, June 12
- Residents must vacate within 24 hours of last final.
- Saturdday, June 13 - Residence Halls and Apartments closed and locked at 6:00 PM - Residents must vacate within 24 hours of last final. Please plan ahead. Graduations also take place on Saturday, so the campus is quite busy.
