Resources for Current Students

You are an integral part of the Marshall College family.

Current Students

You can log into the Virtual Advising Center this link leads to another website to access helpful FAQ’s and resources such as the Four Year Plans, GE Sheet, and the Significant Writing List.

You are an integral part of the Marshall College family, which includes students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community. We are committed to the common goal of making the world a more engaging, empathic environment. Your participation and involvement are critical to our collective success. These resources serve that aim:

  • Academic Advising is your college resource for scholarship pertaining to your general education requirements. This is a highly accessible and knowledgeable group of professionals who help keep you on track as you aim to complete your undergraduate degree.
  • The Dimensions of Culture (DOC) Program is your college resource for scholarship pertaining to TMC’s core curriculum. Required of all first-year students, it is an introduction into what it means to be a scholar and citizen of Marshall College. “DOC” focuses on developing skills of reasoned argumentation and written expression as applied to powerful social, philosophical, and historic issues.
  • Student Life is your main resource for citizenship at TMC. Including Residential Life and a variety of organizations for transferring commuter students, Student Affairs places a high priority on getting all members of TMC involved at the college, campus, community, state, national and global levels. Student Affairs sponsors all of our college social and cultural events.
  • The Residential Life Office is simultaneously part of campus Housing Services and of Thurgood Marshall College Student Affairs. Housing Services oversees the physical aspects of Residential Life, while Student Affairs oversees all student activities in the college residence halls and apartments.
Thurgood Marshall College offers you an opportunity ...

Thurgood Marshall College offers you an opportunity to grow, to learn, to challenge yourself and your view of the world, to reach out to and express solidarity with others, and to become an active and engaged member of a community, not just a passive observer. Please make consisitent and liberal use of the resources above to meet the basic requirements, and then stretch beyond your highest expectations.

"None of us got where we are solely by pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps. We got here because somebody - a parent, a teacher, an Ivy League crony or a few nuns - bent down and helped us pick up our boots."
