Former TMC Provost Cecil Lytle played a central role in the founding of Preuss and Gompers Charter Schools. The purpose of these partnerships is to help build high-quality schools with high expectations for youngsters who have traditionally not been well prepared for university study in the public school system.UCSD/TMC students serve as tutors and mentors under the supervision of the teaching staff at Preuss and Gompers. You can make a big difference in the long-term opportunities available to these children by volunteering your time and expertise to help level the playing field for them.
