New Student Orientation
    – Reading for Parents

The transition to college can be simultaneously exciting and distressing as both parents and students deal with normal developmental changes, independence/dependence issues, and either being or seeing the “just kids” of yesterday develop into the young adults of today. The following selected bibliography notes some books out of the hundreds available that we can recommend to help with this transition. Although mostly written toward a parent’s perspective, they are certainly appropriate for the entire family to read - in good humor and compassion.
