Living Well

Thurgood Marshall College and UC San Diego offer multiple services and programs to help students manage all aspects of personal wellness.

  • Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) provides individual, couple, group, and family psychotherapy to registered UC San Diego students.
  • CARE at the Sexual Assault Resource Center is the UC San Diego confidential* advocacy and education office for sexual violence and gender-based violence (dating violence, domestic violence, stalking).
  • Student Health Services provides quality primary medical care, including urgent care and support services such as laboratory, pharmacy, and x-ray. Their health promotion and disease prevention programs encourage all students to develop positive health behaviors now and for the future.
  • Recreation engages students and the campus community to pursue lifelong wellbeing, growth, and success.
    They help you stay active through their tips, courses, and resources.
  • The Zone is UC San Diego's lounge for student health and well-being. They providing free wellness programs that promote healthy living, personal development, and well-being resources.

Campus Safety

  • Community Service Officer (CSO) Program employs only UC San Diego students and offers many safety-related services, including year-round campus safety escorts.
  • Office for the Prevention of Harassment & Discrimination (OPHD) serves UC San Diego by educating the community about issues of bias, harassment and discrimination and assisting with the prevention and resolution of these issues in a fair and responsible manner.
  • Safe Rides and Escorts is a service provided by the UCPD and the CSO Program to offer late-night escorts around campus.
  • Triton Alert Emergency Notification System keeps the campus community updated in emergency situations. You can choose how you receive alerts: through e-mail, SMS (text messaging) and/or voice messaging.
  • UCPD is committed to building community partnerships and applying unique and innovative policing practices to the university environment.
