Hi, everyone,
It’s Week 10! You’ve almost made it through another tough quarter! Things continue to look up on the Covid front - campus has been able to move to the next stage of vaccination, and they are hoping to get students vaccinated this academic year! Of course everything depends on progress continuing the way it has been, infection rates remaining low, and vaccines remaining available, but I’m definitely feeling optimistic about things being back to something like normal by the Fall. Please keep doing what you’ve been doing and we’ll get through this.
Along with being Week 10, it’s March! Wasn’t Black History Month amazing? One of the things I like to try to do is to look for the bright side of the pandemic whenever I can - and some of the programs UC San Diego were able to host might not have been able to be done if people had to travel to get here, and there were some really outstanding programs. And don’t forget that although Black History Month has ended, we can carry what we learned through every month, and there is no limit to when we can be antiracist!
March is Women’s Herstory Month! Look to the Women’s Center for some exciting programming, and make sure to celebrate the women in your life!
Finally, please have a happy, relaxing Spring Break, and stay safe!
