Senior Week Committee Recruitment   Attention Marshall College third-years and fourth-years! Are you interested in being a part of one of the College's longstanding student traditions? Want to have fun and meet other students while planning social and community-building activities for graduating seniors? Then think about joining the Senior Week committee! Third- and fourth-years who join Senior Week can flex their creativity and be a part of the reimagining of this College tradition in the virtual era. Senior Week is officially funded through Thurgood Marshall College Student Council, and having students plan and drive the ideas behind the committee is one of its cornerstones. Loss & COVID Community Series   Mondays | 4 - 5 pm (PST) Zoom This interdisciplinary six-week weekly community series aims to support Marshall Students at UCSD who have experienced loss during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students can attend one or multiple meetings. Weekly themes + activities will cover: holding loss in the body, grief, focus + loss, creating calm spaces, self-care, community discussion, and more. Loss can look like a range of things, including but not limited to: -Death of a loved one -Long-term COVID-19 health impacts -Loss of social environment and community -Changes in mental health stability    Join Here

Meet the Boss February 23rd | 6 - 7 pm (PST) Zoom   The college has partnered with the Student Alumni Associates and their Meet the Boss program to address a topic of conversation that students of color typically don’t have access to prior to entering the workforce: The implicit bias they will likely face while job hunting and in their early career. Three's Company!   Three’s Company allows students to socialize in small groups (three or fewer), so long as they are outside, wearing face coverings, and observing physical distancing. Small group socializing (groups of three students or fewer) may occur in any outdoor space on campus. Students are asked to avoid congregating in areas adjacent to campus dining areas and classrooms, to minimize congestion.   Learn More

Vaccine Super Station Volunteering   UC San Diego Health is proud to partner with San Diego County and the San Diego Padres to operate the Vaccination Super Station near Petco Park . We welcome assistance from the San Diego community in this effort. Before volunteering, community members must have a satisfactory background check and verification of medical certification, if applicable. These will be facilitated by UC San Diego Health Volunteer Services after you apply. All volunteers will be offered a COVID-19 vaccination during one of your volunteer shifts.   Learn More

Scholarship Opportunity from the Biology Undergraduate and Master's Mentorship Program   Apps due March 5th BRAP was designed to support low-income, first-generation college students, and students from groups underrepresented in graduate education that are interested in pursuing research during the academic year. As a BRAP awardee, students will receive a $1,000 research stipend that will be distributed through the financial aid office.
