Dine and Coffee with a Prof [COVID Edition]
Dine-with-a-Prof and Coffee-with-a-Prof have joined forces to offer a "COVID Edition" of these two amazing programs. This virtual program will serve as an opportunity for Undergraduate Students to safely and successfully meet with a Professor or Graduate Teaching Assistant to learn more about the field of study they are pursuing. The Thurgood Marshall College Leadership and Service Awards are designed to recognize senior students whose undergraduate careers have included distinguished accomplishments in academic achievement, as well as leadership, involvement, and service to Marshall College and UC San Diego. ThurGood Reads Spring 2021
Join us for Thurgood Reads this quarter to engage with Alicia Garza’s book The Purpose of Power: How We Come Together When We Fall Apart that was released in Fall 2020. We have 20 copies of the book to provide students to participate in this reading discussion group. This quarter is being hosted collaboratively with the Black Resource Center. Muir College invites you to their Spring Welcome Back Fun! Come watch "Someone Great" and socialize with us. Make sure to pre-register by April 1st 3pm using the link below. If you live on campus come to pick up popcorn and candy in front of MOM from 4pm -5pm. Students must have their own Netflix account in order to attend the movie virtual screening. Just as a heads up we will send you an email with the link to stream the movie an hour before the movie (7pm on April 1st).

Virtual Elementary School Science Fair

BSSA is hosting its first ever virtual Science Fair at La Jolla Country Day School! Here are some of the things you will be able to do by volunteering at this event: - Teach and demonstrate science to an audience of over 200 students - Show students what it’s like to be a “scientist” in college - Impact students, inspire them to learn more about science, and be a role model You will be working with a partner to demonstrate an assigned experiment to several classrooms and grade levels.
