Marshall Transfers and Commuters (MTAC)

Marshall Transfer and Commuters (MTAC) is a student organization dedicated to improving the transfer and commuter student experience at Marshall. Join MTAC and sharpen your leadership and planning skills while also helping other commuter students build community at their College! As an involved student leader, you will have the opportunity to shape the experiences and activities of commuter students at Marshall College, and positively impact the commuter student experience.

Thurgood Marshall College Student Council (TMCSC)

Thurgood Marshall College Student Council (TMCSC) is the student representative body for the Marshall community. TMCSC advocates on behalf of TMC students through appointments to various campus and college committees. There are many opportunities for you to serve your College as a Council Representative. Positions include Transfer Representative, HDH Representative, Commuter Representative, and more!

Marshall Programs for Transfers

Marshall College Transfer Peer Mentor Program

The mission of the Marshall College Transfer Mentor Program is to adjust, enhance and balance the transition of incoming 1st and 2nd year transfer students to UC San Diego. Through one-on-one mentoring, a supportive environment, and peer support, the Marshall College Transfer Students Program assists transfer students to succeed at UC San Diego.

Marshall Mentor Program

The Marshall Mentor Program offers second-year transfer students the opportunity to connect with faculty members in their academic discipline. Marshall College recognizes the importance of student/faculty interaction, and encourages students to take advantage of this program and enhance their college experience as scholars and citizens.

Transfer Challenge

Transfer Challenge

On pause for Fall 2020.

UC San Diego is a big place, and as a transfer student, you only have a couple of years to get to know campus resources, faculty, staff, and fellow students. The six undergraduate Colleges have your back!  We created the Transfer Challenge to help first-year transfer students navigate important campus resources. Participate in fun weekly challenges - attend events, try new things - and as a bonus earn points for your efforts and redeem them for prizes.
