Parent and Family Orientation

At UC San Diego and Thurgood Marshall College, we recognize that our students often have people in their lives who have supported and encouraged them on their road to success. We welcome you to the Triton family!

Parent and Family Orientation offers the family members of an incoming student the opportunity to preview campus life, learn about available resources, meet staff and faculty, and discuss what to expect with the upcoming transition. Parent and Family Orientation is a full-day program, separate from the New Student Orientation.

Registration

Space for Parent and Family Orientation is limited.  Parents and Family members are encouraged to register early.

After your student registers for New Student Orientation, they will be directed to send a Parent and Family Orientation invitation to their parent(s) or family members. Their selected guests will receive an email invitation to register up to (3) people for Parent and Family Orientation. The email will provide a link to the registration site.

Due to a campus system transition, registration for the Parent and Family Orientation program will resume in August.

Please note: All attendees must be registered regardless of age; daycare and babysitting services are not provided. The Parent and Family Orientation program is designed for adult attendees.
