Check List for Living On Campus!
Essential Items List
- Things that will help make this your new home! (Please don't bring your entire home- we have a Costco, Target, etc very close to campus!)
- Personal Identification (have it readily available at check in)
- Personal hygiene items
- Clothes hangers & clothes
- Extra long twin bedding & pillow
- Towels
- Headphones (highly recommended)
- A willingness to learn about yourself and your new community
- A positive attitude and excitement about starting you journey into college!
Optional Items (alpha list)
- You can shop for most of these items after you arrive!
- A desire to learn outside of the classroom (know yourself, check yourself and be yourself)
- Alarm Clock (a smart phone will work!)
- Bowl, plate, and cup (for two or more)
- Can opener
- Family and friends to visit
- Fan (Sept., April, & May can get toasty)
- Fork, knife, & spoon (for two or more)
- Iron and ironing board
- Laptop and or tablet/iPad
- Laundry soap and supplies
- Microwave - 600 watts (could go up to 700 if necessary)
- Power strip with breaker
- Refrigerator up to 5 cubic feet
- Small sewing & tool kit
- Stamps and envelopes (to send real letters to your family and friends!)
- Surge protected power strips
- Swimsuit. We do live across from the beach!
- Television (check with suitemates/apartment mates first)
- 3MT Command Adhesive strips/hooks
Do Not Bring
- Pets
- Alcohol
- Any kind of weapons
- Do not bring a Grill or BBQ of any kind regardless if you are in a suite or apartment
- Extra Furniture- there is no room!
- Halogen lamps
- A hot tub or inflatable pool
- extention cords (use surge protectors only)
- Open heat sources (hot plates, toasters, skillets, george foreman grills etc)
