Alex Ramirez Ruiz

Alex is excited to continue serving students as an Academic Advisor at UCSD’s Marshall College. In his role at Marshall, he works closely with students navigating General Education requirements, university policies, academic planning, and opportunities to make the most of their undergraduate experience. As a first-generation college graduate and professional, Alex is especially passionate about supporting students from all backgrounds as they navigate higher education.

Outside of work, he enjoys listening to podcasts, working out, and expanding his painting skills along with other creative outlets. A perfect day for Alex consists of painting next to the beach or going for a long walk. He is always glad to meet and discuss any advising questions related to General Education and university requirements that students may have!
