Partnering to Support Student Success

You, as parents, and we, as Marshall College staff, share the same goal: to see your student succeed and graduate from UC San Diego. The information in this section is intended to help you empower your student to work through any challenges they may experience at UC San Diego.

Confidentiality

The Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects students' educational records, such as grades and tuition statements. Under FERPA, staff are not allowed to share information regarding a student's grades, conduct records, or health records without the written consent of the student. The only exception is in the event of a health or safety emergency.

For additional information about FERPA, please visit the UC San Diego Parent and Family Programs website
