Programs for Students

Coordinated by Marshall College professional staff, these year-long programs are designed to enrich your co-curricular (outside the classroom) experience at UC San Diego. Be sure to check them out!

Coffee-With-a-Prof

The Coffee-With-a-Prof program allows undergraduate students to meet and have coffee with a UC San Diego faculty member or graduate teaching assistant once a quarter at no cost to them!

Visit the Coffee-With-a-Prof website for more information on how to participate.

Each One Reach One (EORO)

This program is currently paused. If you are looking for a peer mentorship program please look at the Mentor Collective Program.

The Mentor Collective Program at UC San Diego enhances the first year student experience by linking them one-on-one with a peer mentor. Students are paired with someone invested in their success — a person ready to listen, inspire, help navigate challenges, and recognize opportunities. Students will learn what to expect in school, how to approach challenges and gain career advice. At the same time, mentors will build their networks and develop skills to become better professionals and leaders. With their mentor, students can discuss common questions that arise for a college student, including:

  • How will my major impact my professional options?
  • How do I balance the demands of school, responsibilities, and socializing?
  • How can I set myself up for academic, social, and career success?
  • How do I make connections with peers and professional contacts?

Marshall Mentor Program

The Marshall Mentor Program offers second-year transfer students the opportunity to connect with faculty members in their academic discipline.

ThurGOOD Reads

ThurGOOD Reads is a quarterly opportunity for interested students, faculty, and staff to engage with content related to social justice. The selected readings are provided in advance, and participants are encouraged to attend at least one of the discussions. The readings are often aligned with Marshall College programming, providing a unique opportunity for learning and growth.
