Partnering to Support Student Success

You as parents, and we, as Marshall College staff, share the same goal: to see your student thrive, succeed, and graduate.

The information in this section is intended to help you empower your student to work through any challenges they may experience at UCSD.

Confidentiality

The Federal Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) protects students' educational records such as grades and tuition statements.

Under FERPA, staff are not allowed to share information regarding student’s grades, conduct records, or health records without the written consent of the student. The only exception is in the event of a health or safety emergency.

For additional information about FERPA, please visit the UCSD Parent & Family Programs website at https://parents.ucsd.edu/resources/rights.html
